Pitchero interview the winning managers

We’ve got an exclusive chat from the mangers of the U11 and U13 National Champions of Pitchero ACES Nationals 2017.

First up, we’ve got the manager’s of Lowdham Colts who triumphed in the U11 category.

So, you guys are now National Champions, how does that feel?

We’re absolutely ecstatic. The boys have done really well this season. We’ve only just taken over from the previous managers so this is a fantastic result.

The lads have had a fantastic season. They’ve really battled hard and we’re so proud.

At one stage in the day it was a bit too hot for the boys, we had a few injuries but it’s been a superb day and very professionally organised.

What does it mean to the players?

Everything. You can see it on their faces. It’s something that most kids will never experience in football.

Next, we have the the Stakeford Juniors who took home the title in the Boys’ U13 age group. The managers couldn’t be prouder of the boys.

How does it feel to be National Champions?

It doesn’t get much better than this, does it? I don’t normally cry but the tears have been coming today.

To come all the way here and then the kids putting on a performance like that, it’s great. Every single one of them has worked so hard.

We’re a tiny little club in Northumberland. To achieve this today is just magnificent for us.

What’s next for you? Will you come back and win it again?

Definitely. We’ll attract more talent after this tournament and get better and stronger.
